Anastacia was cursed by Rodrigo, her ex-lover, when she jilted him in favor of her new lover from Manila. Rodrigo vowed never to love again. Anastacia, now an old lady, still bears Rodrigo's curse. Under her care are her two granddaughters, Amanda and Rosenda. Their mother Cornelia, Anastacia's daughter, was killed by her husband after he caught her having an affair.
